Fugetek Integrated Professional Lightweight Bluetooth
My Old Man IG: arandomfriend experience Great investment for solo travelers.
Best. Purchase. Ever! I’m a big solo traveler and I have to tell you, this is the best investment I’ve ever made. One of the toughest things about going alone is that you rarely have photos of yourself in all these amazing places. Or, you have to awkwardly ask strangers to take your photo (and, if you’re a photographic stickler like me, you’ll likely be disappointed with the way the photo is taken because of angles, lighting, or general composition of the shot). This Fugetek product has changed EVERYTHING! I bought this just before I took a road trip through the southwest United States and was worried I’d have no one to help take photos in such remote areas. (Which I was right about!) But luckily it didn’t matter because I had this little guy with me. :)
In terms of portability:
It’s extremely light and has a little carry bag that you can sling on your shoulder or fit in your backpack (although it peaks out the top of mine a little bit). The remote control snaps on the base so you don’t have to keep track of it separately.
In terms of functionality:
It never failed me! I synched the remote to my phone right after it arrived, and never had to do it again. The remote has an “on/off” switch and right after I flip it on, it would automatically recognize my phone within a few seconds. It also has a great battery life: I charged the remote once and it lasted me two whole vacations at this point!
In terms of devices I used :
I use an iPhone Xs with a decent size case AND a pop socket. I never removed either because there is a good grip on the tripod and I never felt it was in danger of falling out.
Pro Tips:
(1) Careful in windy areas. Because the base is small relative to the height of the shaft (fully extended), a gust of wind will take this whole thing right over. It happened to me once in the desert and scratched my iPhone a bit. I solved this by wrapping my sweatshirt around the base to give it a little more weight and stability and never had another problem in the wind. This was the only environment I needed to do that - everywhere else was fine!
(2) Sometimes it takes a second for the picture to snap, so hold your pose for a second after clicking the button and don’t move too quickly.
My Old Man Peggy Phillips Talk Great product!.
Product works great! I was able to use my IPhone 8 Plus in landscape, portrait mode to capture a group photo. Setting up the Bluetooth remote was simple and fast. This tripod was a great addition to our night as we were able to all be on the pictures. I highly recommend the product!
My Old Man RJ Talk Loved it..
I find it necessary to point out that I never write reviews, because I really am presented with an opportunity to test if a product meets all my needs.
I bought this selfie stick simply because of the tripod feature. Me and my wife took a trip to Vegas, and I wanted to avoid the need to ask someone to take our picture. Needless to say, I was completely satisfied...I received several complements and captured memories. It really allows for everyone to be in the picture.
I would love to see an added feature that made the Bluetooth remote water resistant. I had obvious concerns about getting the remote wet when swimming with the selfie stick (lol, I felt obnoxious but got great footage). Easy fix I just removed the remote and used the timer. All in all its durable, light, and practical.
My friend C. Vem said MUST HAVE SELFIE STICK..
every one need this selfie stick, its little bit bigger than regular selfie stick, but this is totally work it, you can use your phone, vertically or horizontally, tilt up or down, adjust height, and its pretty stable and construction of this stick is very sturdy, I even used it for my DSLR and it totally managed the DSLR camera weight. you can collapse and expand very easily. and god, the remote is the best part.
took it on vacation for a week, man, i have so many beautiful pictures, no more awkward pictures holding selfie stick with front camera or asking strangers or looking for strangers in remote places to take your picture and not sure how they take your picture.
Due to tripod and not hand held while taking picture, pictures are lot more clear because of no shake. remote battery was very good, it made it through the day of 200 pictures without issues.
My Buddy Speagle.Beagle say Product was in bad/used condition when it was received.
The tripod I received was either used or had been left out somewhere. Most of the connections were rusted. The part that holds the camera was rusted solid and would not slide to attach a camera. The rest of the tripod was covered in dirt and has rust on several of the screws. I am not impressed with the product that I received.
My Fellow Raven Rider experience Product appears to have been in someone else's house....
Product appears to have been in someone else's house... Didn't look like factory packing... Part that holds phone and attaches to tripod had a stripped connection... The Bluetooth did not work... I was able to use with tablet holder on the tripod... Useless as selfie stick, glad it wasn't my priority. I didn't want to surpass my return quota and get banned, maybe next time... I would not buy again...
My Buddy Bibster say Search no further! STURDY and RELIABLE.
I've spent quite a bit of time on Selfie stick research...
When I found this one, my inner gut feeling was telling me - this is the right one and I was so right.
This item is solid, obviously heavy duty and reliable, any of my phones fit well and secure. I won't go into technical description, but I guarantee, this is the real deal, as I already used it couple of times and I LOVE IT.
My Old Man AttyBand said Really cool tripod. My pictures are so sharp now..
This is really a cool tripod. It's light but very solidly made. I was a little disappointed you can't remove the tripod base but it folds up so nicely it actually winds up being a good hand handle for the selfie stick when it's folded up.
The really coolest part about it is that it comes with a Bluetooth remote control that actually sticks right onto the base of the tripod. When you pair that up, which is quite easy, with the camera on your cell phone, and you set the tripod up a few feet away from where you happen to be, you get the most unbelievable sharp pictures with this remote control. As with any tripod, it's a pain to set up but once you get it set up and you get the hang of it, it's very handy for taking very very sharp pictures.
My Old Man Jon Jovi Atangan experience Definitely not what I expected but it works.
Like every low budget buyer, you don't expect the top tier quality of the stuff you buy on here. I bought this product because I wanted to take better still photos and to also SAVE MONEY, and this one particularly caught my eye! I love it how it can extend high enough to reach up top of a door and that it comes with a traveling bag to take it anywhere you go. So this is where the low rating comes in, the tripod is CHEAP. Very poor quality of material. Almost like you can get this tripod at a 5 below retail store. The only two things on here that does not feel cheap is the selfie grip, and the tabs to unlock to extend. Everything else is PLASTIC including the remote and does not look like it's durable enough to last long. I feel like if I drop this about five feet off the ground it will snap in half. Overall, this tripod is good for light and gentle use, it holds my Galaxy S7 Edge with an Otter case pretty well and looking forward in taking nice photos with it. This will do for now till I get myself a better one. Thank you for reading.
My Old Boy Amazon Customer experience Good for the price, but....
For $20, this is an awesome tripod. I use it with my 7 Plus (with a case) with no issues. It is a bit on the flimsy side and has some rattles, but overall worth the meager price tag. I use it in an indoor/studio type of setting, so I have no idea about outdoor durability. Here's what I would suggest doing to improve this product:
1. Add sound-proofing and stabilizing bushings to the joints. A little bit of rubber or felt around the rivets and pivot-points would help with the wobble and tendency to translate noise into the phone's microphones.
2. For overhead use, develop some kind of extension and counterweight piece that could act as a boom. Obviously, this would increase the price, but the benefits would outweigh the initial purchase price.
3. Improve remote/phone compatibility. Unfortunately, my Note 5 registers the remote as a keyboard, requiring that I type a six-digit pairing code from the remote before it will pair. There are only three buttons on the remote; capture, zoom in, and zoom out. It's impossible to pair the remote to my Note. Essentially the remote is useless any time this problem occurs. Also, try to add the zoom features of the remote to iOS. Only the capture button works on the iPhone, and that's just unfortunate.
4. Devise a different mechanism for the rotation of the phone mount. The dual purpose attachment point/rotation dial is a bit difficult to use at times. Something simple like a latch or lever mechanism would work a lot better.
Again, for the cost, this is a great product. Would I mind paying a little more for something a little more developed and included more accessories? No, I'd absolutely purchase an improved version of this product. If you want a cheap, easy-to-use tripod for your phone, by all means purchase this product. But if your expecting a solid, sturdy, rugged piece of equipment, I would probably pass on this one. I can see the support structure being easily, and irreversibly damaged if not handled carefully. At full height, the wind could probably easily topple this rig, so if you're one of those people who go caseless; don't. There's almost no protection from a fall and tipping this over from ~4' is almost guaranteed to damage your device. Oh, and don't buy this of you want to use it with a tablet. Even a 7" tablet would be WAY too big for this tripod.
