My Old Chap Richard said GREAT CASUAL USER LAPTOP. Ok, just to get everything out in one sentence: This is the perfect laptop for the CASUAL laptop user! Which is a good thing! This is a great little laptop! for $200 this is a steal. 64 gigabytes is enough for windows 10. If you get a 128GB mini SD card, then this laptop will work great for you. Now if you plan on using this to store pictures, videos and other files, for awhile, then you will run out of space (with the laptop alone). But with a mini SD card or a flash drives to store your files, you'll be fine. If you are a heavy computer user and need it for heavy video editing, photoshop or a heavy gamer, then obviously this won't work for you. I use windows movie maker. It works just fine. This can play light games or games that have been released from the early 2000's (if you play on Steam).. Newer games that need Gforce and what not.. Obviously not. This laptop is f

My Fellow REVIEWER71 said Excellent product. Excellent product for a average sized home. The setup was very easy. The speed is faster than my old router—which was a 5 year TP Link—I hope this one last as long. I do have coverage throughout the home without any dead spots. (About 1,900 square feet, 1 story.) I really just live this product. My Old Man tuBgrateful Talk Rock Solid, Long Range. I am a professional AV Tech. I carry this router with me all the time, to wirelessly connect to my digital audio mixers, video switchers, lighting controllers, etc. The 5g signal it gives is rock solid, connection is always quick and hassle free, never fails, and has a range of about 300 feet. (Open room, not through walls). I highly recommend this router. My Old Chap Bean Bag Man Talk Great reception and easy to set up. Don't worry about the other reviews like I did. I don't often write reviews but read a lot of them, and wanted to pu

Plugable Universal Docking Station Ethernet

Image
My Fellow Amazon Customer say Works great after configured correctly. This docking station is exactly what I needed. I have a Lenovo Yoga 910, and after doing a lot of research, I wasn't sure there was any way for me to be able to extend its display to two external monitors. Then I found this docking station. Still unsure whether or not it would work, I contacted Plugable support and received a prompt response confirming that it would work with my laptop as desired. I've now received my docking station, plugged it in, and confirm it works wonderfully. The main reason I wanted to leave this review is to share some of the steps I had to go through to get it set up on Windows 10; the instructions are not 100% clear in this regard. 1) The drivers did not update automatically, so you will need to do this yourself. If you're not sure how to do this, you can open up Windows Explorer, right click on My Computer, and rig

TP Link AC1750 Smart WiFi Router

My Old Chap TJ Burke Talk Mama said.... You see my momma used to say "there is a great big world out there. That I needed to stop lifting weights in my room, stop watching tv in the basement, stop playing video games on my Intellivision." I have always had that voice in the back of my head. I have moved out on my own and started a family, but I for the past 22 years I just keep coming back to what my momma said. Well I finally did something about it and used the interwebs at my local buffet style family dining establishment (borrowing my momma's smartphone) and ordered the TP-Link AC1750 Smart WiFi Router, as a companion piece to a modem surfboard. I am not what you would call well with the electronics, but this piece of manufacturing was easy for me to set up and even brought my son and I closer together as we worked on it as a daddy/son project. Once this was set up the whole family dynamic changed, the kids no

Fire HD 8 Kids Edition Previous Generation 9th

My friend TC say Slow... New FreeTime layout as of 10-13-18 is an absolute joke. This is so hilariously bad on Amazon's part. This was ordered as an upgrade from the 6th generation, I can honestly say this tablet is ~70% as fast as the old one loading apps for my child. When my child attempts to download apps and games it will freeze, not download the app, or take FOREVER to download the apps. It sits there with the spinning wheel with full internet connection not downloading or doing anything. Amazon Customer Service did remote in to the device and was shocked at how poor the performance was and why apps wouldn't download even when had full internet and my speeds tested out with 100mbs down and 20mbs up. The Free Time update is complete total and rushed garbage. It's a blazing pile of trash. Does Amazon developers not understand who are using their devices? Why would you take away the icons for children who can't re

TP Link Deco Whole System Plug

Image
My Old Neighbor KGT said Good product, but with one fatal flaw.. I bought this deco m9 system because I already have a working deco m5 system at another location. That system is working well, and has made people there happy with the coverage. I was expecting the same or better with this deco m9 system. However, upon setting up in router mode, I found there is no way to change the deco m9 router LAN IP from its default of 172.16.0.1 It's absolutely incredible that Tplink would leave such basic functionality out of this product. What's even more interesting is that the older deco m5 does have this ability. I had to return the deco m9 system, as not having the ability to change the router LAN IP made it essentially useless on the local network. (Many items on the network do not use DHCP, and have hardcoded local IP's in the 192.168.x.x range.) I could get over the lack of a web interface.....but not having a way to ch

My Old Man Sadie Parker tell us a real opinion. I could sit here and write all about the specs on this computer, but they are already in the description, and If you are like me... you don't really understand it anyways. So I am going to tell you what I LOVE about this computer and what I use it for. I am a full time college student as well as a single mother who stays busy. I have previously used a HP All In one computer that I bought brand new a year ago and I hate that thing... It is so slow!!! When I first opened this item, I was just hoping that it would be a little faster! What I got instead was an amazing computer that is faster than I could have ever imagined. Now I don't use this thing for much more than amazon reviews, school work, and papers. But this is exactly what I needed. It navigated quickly between web pages, my Microsoft word programs opens instantly and doesn't take forever to load like my HP does. The

ARRIS Surfboard Certified Spectrum SBG10

Image
My Old Fellow Vidman experience Purchased due to Comcast price increase. Purchased the Arris SBG10 due to Comcast internet service price increase along with their modem lease increase. I selected the Arris SBG10 because the modem from Comcast was Arris and it worked for 1 year flawlessly. I also got a good price on the SBG10 and the ratio of 1 star to 5 star reviews was good. The install required me to register on-line via my mobile phone or call Comcast to activate the modem, it did not just come up so I could gain internet access. Once I did register and get on-line I tried several speed test sites. The SBG10 did not show any difference in latency or download/upload speeds that what the Comcast modem did. I have periodically checked different times and days, so far it is working perfectly. I have had the unit for just a week so we will see how long it lasts, but so far it has been great. AS AN ADDED NOTE: I have noticed a number o
