Apple 96W USB-C Power Adapter

Apple 96W USB-C Power Adapter

My Fellow Uncle Ty said Nickel and dime death!.

This product alone is useless out of the box! You also need the charging cord to actually connect it to your device. Apple sells that separately, for ANOTHER $20. You also have to plug this big brick directly in the wall/extension cord. The extension cord that also used to be included with this is also sold separately, for ANOTHER $20. Absolutely insane! Apple needs to rethink this!

My Old Chap Johnny T say Don't forget to Buy Cable, It does not come with one.

Extremely disappointed with apple oaths simple purchase, NO USB-C cable? really? People pay premium money for laptops, iPhones, iPad, when pushing an extra Power supply (One for home & one for work) no cable included! that sucks!

My Old Man Scott Foster said Beware!!! No cable included.

I know it states in the description text that the cable is sold separately. But it's not unreasonable to assume the cable is included. The price is outrageous without the cable. Does Apple really need that much profit? Seriously, this is price gouging.

My Old Man Dani say Needed for 2019 16" Macbook Pro.

If you have a new 16 inch Macbook Pro (2019), you need a 96 watt power adaptor. Check the Apple website to confirm which power adaptor is required for your Macbook. You can always use a higher wattage adaptor but you should not use a smaller wattage one. Your Macbook can be damaged if under-powered.

This was the only 96 watt power adapter I could find on amazon and it's made by Apple. It works perfectly without issues.

The bad news: It's expensive and it does not come with a USB-C cable.

My friend DJ Talk Wireless Charger... Make sure you buy a cable....

It seems to be a genuine Apple product and works fine. I decided to buy this particular product since it was available for next day shipping. When my order for 2 of these arrived, I realized they don't come with cables. So I had to wait an extra day and pay even more to get the fully functional products I thought I was ordering.

My Old Fellow Bryce said Solid 100w PD Charger.

I feel like I paid a good price for this charger compared to some other ~100W chargers.

Works on both my personal laptop (Asus ROG Zephryus M that supports 60W PD) and my work MacBook. The MacBook seems to report it as a genuine Apple Charger and it looks exactly like the one that came with the MacBook.

My friend Paul S. tell us this is the fast charger.

I noticed that this battery in the Mac Book Pro doesn't really last 11 hours of Final Cut Pro and it slowed down. You also need to buy a fast charger and longer USB C to USB C on the new Apple charger. if you pair up the right cord that can handle the wattage needed to fast charge the battery, I suggest this item at whatever cost. it's worth it if your're in the middle of a project and lost battery stinks, I am probably buy another one for office

My Old Chap GabrielSix say Good Adapter.

Genuine Apple adapters are expensive, but they work well and hold up over time. I've never had one fail, catch fire, get suspiciously hot, etc. With the old apple adapters, the power cord would fray over time with enough winding and unwinding. The power cord for this adapter is a separate USB-C cable, which greatly reduces the likelihood that this adapter will fail.

My Old Man G. Thornock say Cords sold separately? Really?.

Apple's power adapters have always been stupidly expensive. We all know that. But, now the cords (both the AC cord and the USB C cord) are sold separately? Really?

Ridiculous.

My Old Fellow Lunar Kitten tell us Well-Priced 96W Charging Adapter — Needs Cord.

More than adequately powers their new 16 inch MacBook Pro even when using Bootcamp and playing AAA games. I don’t think the price is unfair for this adapter. Rather to avoid bad press, this plus the cord should just be bundled together for $100.

I would recommend getting a Thunderbolt 3 cable to go with this adapter to take advantage of the full 96 watt output. The cord that you get with your MacBook Pro is actually rated for 87 watts. So, under full load, you’re actually going to be using power faster than you are delivering to your laptop.

Lastly, this adapter is very durable and does get warm like all other AC adapters. But, just make sure to get the right cord for your adapter!
