*UPDATE 2/13/20* So I've had this cover for a few days and used it daily at home, work, gym and outdoors. While I still think it's a great protective case, the thing almost NEVER registers my touch to the watch consistently in a day. I continuously have to tap something multiple times before the watch accepts the command from my finger. Annoying to say the very least. So, at this point I take it off to use the watch and then snap the case back on to help protect it. Sucks but it'll have to do until I find something better.

I really liked a lot of things about this case from the moment I opened it up: easy install, very form-fitting, and it looks almost like there's no case on the watch. After less than two weeks, just from an accidental knock on a door frame, the case shattered in the corner and cracked down the middle of the screen. Just knocked the edge of the frame as I pulled the door closed behind me. Nothing particularly aggressive. Very disappointing.

My only minor complaint is that water/sweat can get under the case, which is expected. It's pretty easy to clean.

I bought this because my prior Apple Watch 2 sustained significant cracks and damage at the rounded edge to the point where the whole display lifted off from the watch body. This hard case protects the sides quite well on my new Apple Watch 4. The supplied wet and dry wipes work well at "prepping" the watch surface for installation.
Turn Apple Watch off first before installation, then prep the watch surface. Install by inserting at the digital crown side first, then pivot and snap the other side in, using a single smooth motion. Be very careful NOT to touch the undersurface of the transparent glass (after removing the underside plastic film). You can then remove the plastic film on the outer surface afterwards.

I gave this 4 stars as there is a small oval area (4mmx10mm) of "rainbow" effect on the watch surface after installation. This looks like the effect of wha tone would see when a thin oil film is floating on surface of a pool of water. I am not sure if it is from my faulty install, but there is no way to gradually reduce this using squeegee motion/tool (not supplied) like the plain plastic film protectors. This "rainbow smudge" is most visible when the watch face display is off. As other reviews have stated this is not for water immersion use, e.g., swimming with Apple Watch attached to wrist. This is for dry use only.

Update (4/7/2020): Added one star, the manufacturer/seller reached out and will send a replacement protective case. I think the "rainbow smudge" may have been some skin oil or greasy contaminant. I recommend misting alcohol solution (probably 70% isopropyl alcohol) to Apple Watch surface, wipe dry with lint-free microfiber fabric before installation and handle only by the black edges and never handle the inner surface once the inside protective film has been removed.

Was fairly satisfied with this product until I wore it on my watch in a pool and in the ocean. The black plastic around the screen started to wilt. After a day at the pool and beach, I looked at my watch and the protector was destroyed. Before that, the only issue was that the center of the screen would sometimes respond poorly to touch. Do not buy if you have an active lifestyle and plan to wear in all types of water.

I have a habit of cracking the glass on my watches. Those previous watches were fairly cheap so I never felt the need to "protect" them. That was before. Now that I jumped on the Apple Watch train, I want to keep this watch pristine for as long as I can. I was hesitant about putting a protector on the watch, afraid of how ugly and bulky it would be. I was pleasantly surprised and oh so wrong! This protector looks great, is not bulky at all, and ACTUALLY looks like it is supposed to be part of the watch! The black casing matches the black sport band in look and feel. The screen is crystal clear. Installation was literally a SNAP! Now I can go about my clumsy day and not worry about breaking the watch!
