This product works just fine so far. I'm giving it one star because it is NOT PopSocket brand as described. I cannot stand false advertisement, and if I wanted an off-brand I would have purposely bought an off brand. I detest being lied to.

whats going on pop socket?? we bought our first popsockets about two years ago and they were great. we have bought 4 since then , at different times and all of them have not stayed on...not even an hour! i would look into another brand. popsocket had the right idea, but reduced their quality and is now a waste of money. after trying 4 different times, sadly im done with this brand.

Shame on you! Who posts pictures of an authentic Pop socket just to sell their crappy knock offs? HINT: if it doesn’t say POPSOCKET on the base it’s a knockoff. Send it back! If it has a foam sticker in the middle of the circle on the back - IT IS A KNOCKOFF!! I hope every reviewer that hasn’t realized you scammed them returns their items.

My daughter uses popsocket for her Iphone 8plus so I decided to buy one after using her phone. After receiving the popsocket, I installed it on my phone and excited to use it. Really disappointed that it keeps on folding back no matter how I try to extend it so I can watch in landscape. Compared with my daughters popscoket, the one I had was thin and will not hold my iPhone 8 plus up. Not sure if this is fake but I decided to return for refund.

Edit: after ONE day the adhesive became completely useless. I ended up supergluing it on just because i dont like wasting money. dont get this, at least not from here.

I usually use those rings for my phone vs popsockets and i usually pay like 5 or 6$ for 2. They tend to last 4-6 weeks...sometimes longer, depending on the brand.

I got my popsocket today and was excited. I compared pix and it SEEMED like i got the real deal. I put it on my phone (i have an otterbox case, the rubbery ones) and it stuck fine at first. Within an hour it started falling off. I can stick it back on fine, the adhesive doesnt completely wear off when it comes off but it isnt strong by any means. Every time i "pop" it, i kind of have to hold it on with my fingers. The edges are coming up as i type this. I will probably just superglue it on like someone else did. I like the actual product, the adhesive SUCKS and i was hoping spending a few extra $ would get me longer lasting stickiness. I will def stick with my off brand "rings" from now on.

My Fellow Anon say I received a cheap knockoff..

1. It has no PopSocket branding.
2. It is thicker collapsed then a genuine PopSocket, 0.36 in versus 0.25 in. To be fair it does match the page's fine print description.
3. It is very stiff to pop it out. Although, I'm not sure how hard a genuine one is to pop out either.
4. The glueing adhesive mechanism is a cheap foam tape circle. It's sticking power is weak.

I would not buy again. I almost want to return it but I've wasted enough time on it writing this.

I read some reviews of folks getting knock offs. But the one I received is an actual Popsocket. My wife and I have them attached to our Otterbox defender cases. They stick well.....but watch some youtube videos. Our cases really required the alcohol wipe down first on the rubber case to get it to stick well.

I do not wear tight jeans....so I am still able to drop the my phone in a pocket with out hanging it on the popsocket. My wife says she is not sure how she used her phone without one for this long.

If I could give my particular popsocket 0 stars I would. Based on the other reviews I'm guessing I might've gotten a defect (?!). I just received the item 2 days ago and I was super excited to use it. BUT, it didn't even pop open right. In addition to that the adhesive was so bad that I couldn't use this for the function it's supposed to serve. It kept on coming off. I cleaned the adhesive and the phone cover before initially attaching but nope...came off. Cleaned and reattached again and again, fell off again and again. Sigh. In fact today it came off and rolled away when I was out and now I can't even try to use it. I'm thoroughly disappointed I have wasted almost $10 on this.

Came with the sticker off. Doesn't stick at all! IT SUCKS!!

Got a replacement, the robber isn't well made. So the phone doesn't stay when I open the popsocket, it closes and doesn't stay open. This is awful. The first one came without the sticker, the replacement doesn't work either.

Very cheap. Doesn’t extend very far so if you have adult sized fingers it isn’t as comfortable to hold. Also, the base doesn’t have the same branding on it as in the picture.
