Anker Charger PowerPort PowerIQ Foldable
My Old Man Vedran Simic tell us Not that great of a charger..
I tried giving Anker another shot with a different charging solution and for the 3rd time, they disappoint. I needed a slimline dual USB charger, and they looked like they made the slimmest one on the market. And since it had great reviews, I tried to give them a shot again...and for the last time.
Of course it disappointed out of the box. The packaging that it came in was nice, but it was the only thing that was nice though. I plugged in my Sony cybershot camera and Handycam to charge and it decided to only want to charge one at a time. I could unplug each one out and it would start charging the other, but not enough power to charge 2 cameras? Really?
I tried plugging them into a charger that I have that has 4 plugs on it, it is a bit larger and can handle up to 60w of power, of course they charged just fine on that one. But a 24w charger can't seem to charge them both, while they are turned off, is just pitiful. I don't even feel comfortable to plug in my iPhone into it, let alone a my iPad Pro.
Also about the fordable plug feels really cheap and can be easily broken with constant folding and unfolding. To sum it all up, I honestly can't recommend or even will ever purchase anything branded Anker.
My Old Fellow M. T. Bradley said Stop shopping. You've found what you need..
I am a complete fanatic when it comes to Anker. Everything they make is quality. I've converted all my charging cables, wall chargers, 12V adapters, and back up batteries over to Anker. I even have their excellent little bluetooth speaker. They give the kind of attention to design and detail to everything they do the same way Apple does. Even their packaging is beautiful and thoughtful. I can't recommend this brand or this item highly enough. The dual port wall charger is about the size of the standard iPad charger that Apple ships. With dual ports, I get twice the charging ability. It also charges more quickly than my standard Apple charger. This is my fourth one (all are still working perfectly). I stash them all over and use them for international travel as well.
My friend Hints From Homie say Best receptacle charger for USB devices I have found.
I now own 4 of these ANKER dual chargers, installed in three rooms of our house. I took 4 white aftermarket USB dual chargers out of the receptacles and threw them with extreme prejudice into the blue recycle bin , then removed the 3 other genuine Apple used single USB white chargers from a parts drawer and added them to recycle as well BECAUSE they all were extremely unreliable: they are rated for either 1 or 2 amps DEPENDING ON WHICH SIDE you plug into and we know that all devices have different requirements, right? Especially APPLE family devices which is what we have here at our house including dual iPhones and iPads. Solid slide-in for the USB inputs, feels right and the whole deal has a blue LED to tell you its live, ready to charge.
The Apple receptacles just seemed to wear out internally, loose USB plugs don't work!!! No lights and intermittent contact.
I suggest you do the same:, throw away your funky chargers. These ANKER Elite duals are the real deal, no problems, charge anything including iPods, Beats , FITBIT and doubtless anything with a USB charge cord you own (within reason) and will receive the ANKER magnetic cordless iPhone chargers, too - all in the family. Our charging nightmares are over at least at this end: BEWARE aftermarket Apple charge cords like the ones you find on eBay: We go through about 20 per year of various lengths at home and in vehicles so that's what we buy even though they often cast misleading "incompatible hardware" warnings, they do charge. The genuine Apple cords are $$$$$ and blow up just as fast as the cheapies so don't bother buying into that proprietary noise they spout. Cord ends break down? Toss in recycle, pull out a new one.
My other ANKER product that I love is a Bluetooth speaker I use 5/7 days all day in my school bus attached to iPods for music. Nice piece of equipment, ANKER SOLID, no BS - THEIR STUFF IS QUALITY AND WORKS 100%.
My Fellow Justin Redden say Waste of money.
This product does not quick charge my cell phone or any off my devices at all, this is my first anker product and it will be my last, does nothing a $3 charger from Menards won't do
My Buddy mLo68 experience Nice, while it works....
Worked great to charge two devices at once. However, it quit working after only 8 months. This is not the quality or durability I expect from Anker, which has usually been much better.
My Old Chap Rodney E. Fisk say Fast. Doesn't heat up. Snug USB. A bit loose in electrical outlets. Good charger..
Great little charger. Charges fast and doesn't get hot. Shortens my iPhone charge time too.
I reduced one star because the tines on the plug are thin, so it fits loosely into any socket it's plugged into. Get a higher quality plug for the next version please. Beside that, I really like this little charger.
USB cables fit very snugly into their sockets.
My Old Man Lulu tell us Disappointed.
The charger itself is great. Could have a better design imo. The placing of the charging prongs aren't centered so the weight makes it difficult to stay plugged into the wall. If you plug it in and don't mess with the cords at all its a great charger. Wobbles a lot and falls out of the outlet so often (tried every outlet possible) that I stopped using it. Disappointed
My Old Boy Nick Mullins said Anker makes the best products!.
They are by far the best in the business.... I got hooked an their cables and found there customer service to be the model of what everyone should strive for. After finding the cables, I decided to give several other products a go... a power bank... excellent... wall chargers.... excellent.... earbuds.... excellent.... USB adapters.... excellent. I haven't found anything they make that hasn't been top notch. The only thing I have ever had that failed was a USB cable that got damaged when I was in the ICU. I dropped them an email from my bed and the mail guy at the hospital stuck his head in two days later and handed me a package.... with a new cable from Anker.
My Fellow Yessi experience Devices work fine. I really bought it because I like to ....
No complaints so far. Devices work fine. I really bought it because I like to charge my ipad and iphone on the same outlet and there's too many bulky plugs. This allows me to charge both and save some face if I put it at the end. I'll update if I notice any changes in my devices. Hope my images help. I put it next to an ipad charger so you could see the size difference.
My Old Man Kathyrn said Good, But not as advertised.
So I was looking for a new charger to take with me to work or have next to my computer so I didn't always have to take my OME charger with me. I heard a lot of hype and good things about this brand so I felt I would give it a try.
Overall this is a good charger but from what is stated in the description for this item I feel it was in some ways misleading. It started it was a fast charger and would work with my phones such, when I got the chance to use it I was expecting a lot more. When I played it in my fast charge indicator would not come so I thought maybe it was because I was using there brand cord which I got at the same time, i changed it out for the OEM cord still nothing. So I tried a side my side plugging the OEM and this charger in their was a 30 min difference in charge time. My phone charging time was 30 minutes faster and started fast charge but when I hooked this one up it was 30 minutes slower. I truly feel mislead maybe the 30w would have been better idk. Other than that it seems to be a well made charger easy to take with you and the convenience of 2 charge ports. But other than that it charges as fast as a normal off brand charger from 7-11 very disappointing.
This is why I feel I can only rate this charger with 2.5 to 3 stars I am open and willing to change or update my review if someone from this team could reach out and contact me as to why the description is so misleading as to its fast charging capabilities. Or offer me some type of help maybe I'm missing something or got a faulty unit?
I do hope I hear from someone as I was expecting more from all the hype I was told with this trusted brand. Thank you.
