CYBERPOWERPC Gamer Xtreme GXiVR8020A6 Gaming
My friend Cliff Talk Great Computer.
I decided to make the move to PC gaming and sold my PS4 a few months ago. I've had a few months owning this tower and still can't think of what else I could possibly ask of it. This computer does EVERYTHING. In fact, I don't even know how they got it down to this price point. The processor is the newest one, in fact there were advertisements for it during E3, the 4 fans work great. And it has an SSD. And it supports VR. And it has 6 cores. This is worth FAR MORE than $750.
You're probably wondering what all it does, right? Well, don't worry, I've tested it out. It's as insane as it looks.
✔ EMULATORS - No, seriously. PCSX2? It renders that in like a thousand frames. Dolphin? Easy money. Here's how crazy this thing is: you can ACTUALLY emulate PS3 and even Switch games on it. I've tried. They actually WORK.
✔ NEWEST GAMES - Effortlessly. Like, the emulators are more challenging and this computer runs those like butter. I remember playing RAGE 2 and Rainbow Six on this computer on max settings with no stutters. You want to play anything on ultra settings? You want this thing right here.
✔ RESPECT - Anyone who knows what they're talking about will tell you that this is top-of-the-line, not just for a pre-built, but in general. You got those nerdy 'build it yourself bro' PC friends? Show them this. I guarantee they'll be as stumped as I am at how the price is this low.
✔ CUSTOMIZABLE - Tinkering with this thing is super easy. It comes with a glass case in the left side and a couple of screws that are easy to take out. You just slide the glass case off, make sure the thing is turned off (duh) and you can get to replacing anything you want. The cable management is clean and it's pretty easy to figure out.
✔ DURABLE - Whoever designed this computer was smart. Everything is intuitive. You worried about your hand bumping into the tower? Don't be. They've got a thick covering that wraps around this thing like a shield and absorbs impact. And if it bumps into the glass? Doesn't matter, because the motherboard and peripherals are installed behind the thick covering, meaning that the most important parts are always protected.
There isn't enough positive stuff I can say about this computer. I downloaded every emulator out there and relived my entire childhood through it. Every game feels super immersive and everything you do on here feels like an adventure. I highly, highly recommend this computer if you can afford it. It's top-of-the-line. Seriously.

My Buddy Tuttle Talk PLEASE dont waste your money..
I literally just received this today. I dont know who is saying its ready right out of the box but you're wrong. I set it up, the keyboard is broken. the '2wsx' keys are unresponsive, and in case you dont know gaming, those are PRETTY DANG IMPORTANT TO GAMING. also, the range at which it finds wifi is maybe 4 and a half feet? so dont waste your money unless youre planning on ethernetting in. what a joke. I have full signal 100% wifi capability on my mac, but 3 feet away this desktop cant even recognize the network let alone connect to it. I feel like I've lit 800$ on fire. what an absolute JOKE.
My Old Chap Arron Umberger experience Great Starter PC.
This review is for the (now) $750 i5, GTX 1060, 8GB DDR4, 240 GB SSD, 1TB HDD model.
First I would like to say that this is a great deal for a basic/starter gaming PC. If you want to get into PC gaming but don't know how to build one, or are just too busy to take on the task yourself, then this is the machine for you. Sure, it's not the absolute best of the best, but for $750 it is definitely a worthwhile starter build. The RAM is good, the motherboard, though it is Cyberpower's own brand, is respectable. The SSD and HDD are both nice quality WD drives. The graphics card in mine is an MSI GTX 1060, not some no-name brand so that was a nice surprise. The fans work great and the system stays cool even after a good long gaming session. I play mainly DBD, so I didn't need a beast of a machine, but it runs smooth as silk on ultra settings, giving me a constant 80+ FPS.
Really, the only complaint I have about the system components is it only having 8GB or RAM. With the mid-range Ballistix RAM they used, they could have thrown in a full 16GB at minimal extra cost to them. The other nit-picky issues I have are purely cosmetic. First, I wish the keyboard was backlit. I mean, the logo lights up on it, why can't we have nicely lit keys too? Second, the side panel is acrylic. I realize the product description doesn't specify tempered glass or acrylic, but the box is covered with warning labels that say "Fragile Tempered Glass" so I was disappointed when I popped them off to find them to be plastic. They look nice though.
Al in all, this is a great build for someone jst starting out. Though it runs smooth as silk as is, it is certainly future-ready as well. It has plenty of space and compatible components that will make it easy to upgrade for years to come. If you're on the fence about this PC, don't be. It is a great way to open the door to PC gaming.
My Old Chap Matthew Hamby experience Solid budget machine.
I've had this about 3 weeks now and have been very satisfied with the experience. My last computer was a boutique system that I managed to upgrade enough to last 7 years. I wanted something newer that wasn't going to break the bank as I wasn't chasing frames per second but rather looking for a good rig for 1080 gaming. I watched this system for awhile and read a lot of reviews both on Amazon and elsewhere before deciding to go with it.
The system was well-packaged. The case was in a plastic foam cage, and inside the case was the standard expanding foam packet. Everything was held in place, and a quick check of the connections revealed that nothing had come loose. It booted up quickly, and after about 30 minutes for standard setup/updates, I had Steam installed and a batch of games set to download to the regular drive (leaving the SSD for Windows).
It came with a disc of drivers...but the system doesn't have an optical drive, so I guess you can use it as a coaster? The lights can be turned off/up/down/strobe/fade across multiple colors as needed with the included remote. When the machine goes to sleep, the lights turn off.
Pros:
Cost, obviously. It's a budget machine.
Very quiet.
Excellent cable management/open space in the case which will help with any future upgrades.
No ad/bloatware installed.
Cons
The audio connections are recessed on the back of the machine which meant for tricky arrangement of the 3 90-degree plugs for my speakers.
Airflow may be a concern if you're going to push the machine. Apart from the back of the case, there is only a small vent at the bottom of the front of the case.
The one piece of hardware they appear to have skimped on is the power supply. It's a no name, so therefore an unknown quantity in terms of long-term performance. So far, I haven't had any issues with power after attaching a scanner, USB hub, usb headset, and external USB hard drive.
It came with a keyboard and gaming mouse, though I did not have any use for them. I have a hardwired connection, so I didn't bother attaching the WiFi antennas though I did confirm that it was able to pick up broadcasting networks.
My Old Fellow JJS tell us Four-and-a-half stars. Overall, a great gaming PC.
I finally broke down and bought a gaming PC so I could play the deeper, graphics-heavy strategy games I enjoy so much, along with other titles that interest me. After much shopping around and comparing, this CyberPower PC fit the bill at a great price point for me.
Setup was pretty painless with one exception: there was no way to know exactly what video outputs I would receive with whichever graphics card they installed on the computer. I had to wait for the PC to arrive to discover that it came with one (1) HDMI port and (3) DisplayPort connections. As I had no such cables or adapters I had to order them from Amazon and wait two days for them to arrive. I know, First World Problems, but it does kinda stink when you get a hot rod computer like this and you can't set it up and get right into seeing what it can do. So I knock off half a star for this.
A WORD OF CAUTION: Monitor cables are insanely expensive at most brick and mortar stores (e.g. fifty bucks) whereas here on Amazon they're like eight bucks each. Also, I bought cables from Amazon, *not* adapters as I was told you lose some signal quality with an adapter.
I installed a 1 TB SSD from my previous computer and that was not an easy task. It's a tight fit in there and there was no extra power cable for a new drive (there is a spare data cable though). Luckily I was able to use the one out of my old computer.
My last issue is that it came with only 8 GB of RAM on board. As many have already commented, this just doesn't cut it. I took their advice and bought a separate 8 GB of RAM. I think it cost less than 30 bucks, so why doesn't CyberPower just make it standard?
Once up and running, this PC has been a dream. It plays all the titles I want seamlessly on the highest graphic settings. There have been no hiccups or issues at all with any of the PC's functions. I thought the LED lights on the case were a superfluous feature for me, but now that I have it I really enjoy the effect (it comes with a remote [with no instructions] so you can change the LED settings a million different ways.)
I would recommend this PC to anyone looking for a gaming desktop that will play pretty much any game out there and who doesn't want to spend a couple thousand dollars for the privilege. This PC is a champ.
My Old Neighbor Dr tell us Dead on Arrival.
The system itself seemed like it was good some of the parts were much higher than some of the others given the fact that some of the parts seem to be just basic stock and lower and quality but overall the system would have been good if not for the fact that the Tower was dead the only thing we managed to get you turn on after an hour of working on it and trying to troubleshoot was the LEDs and given three people who build computers on a regular basis could not get this up and going should say something along and this is not even the most advanced computer we have built it was just the most convenient for a friend 0 out of town will never buy again
My Fellow Lisa A. McKula Talk solid all around system.
This really hits the sweet spot in price and performance with the addition of the 1660 card. I'm not sure why these gaming rigs so often go shy on the SSD though, a 500 GB SSD is only around $35 more - why on earth go 120 GB or 240 GB?
Anyway - with a solid i5, 8GB of 2400 RAM (not the fastest, but ok and easy to upgrade), 250 GB SSD, win 10 64-bit and the new 1660 6 GB nvidia card you really can't go wrong for $750 bucks. I'd prefer cyber scrap the keyboard and mouse though and sell it barebones with a 500 GB SSD and try for a $730-ish price point and really knock some socks off OR go 500 GB SSD and 16 GB of ram and stick as close to $750 as possible just make it clear no keyboard or mouse is provided, but still - great 5 star deal imo
My friend Mike S. Talk Awesome.
Just got this so I can't comment yet on long term reliability but my initial reactions are that it exceeds my expectations. I got the i5, 240GB SSD and 1660 video card.
Keyboard/mouse: Pretty good with customizable buttons and LED lights on the mouse. Probably not the best for everyone but very good quality if you don't have another keyboard and mouse.
Video card: Mine came with an MSI dual fan video card with one HDMI 2.0 and three display port outputs so more than enough for most people I would imagine
RAM: A single stick of XPG Z1 DDR4 3000 MHz ram. Kinda sucks that they only sell these in two stick packs, so I won't be able to pick up a cheap single stick to upgrade to 16GB. I guess I can just use another brand stick to add or something, but I haven't found a reason to upgrade as of yet anyways
Overall look of the case is nice and it has a controller to change the LED light settings and colors. I set mine on orange and it looks nice. The system is not as quiet as my old Lenovo, but it is pretty quiet actually. Cable management is very nice and neat; you only see a few cables though the glass window.
One important note; make sure you install the two wifi antennas in the accessory package. I was about to give a 3 star review when I saw how bad the wifi signal was until I realized that I'm stupid and there are two antennas to install on the motherboard. Works much better than my old wifi now; full bars in the basement and my router is upstairs.
No intrusive weird bloatware on this system and everything started up and updated without any effort. Up and running in 10 minutes.
I'm sure you could build something at around the same price point or even cheaper, but I purchased this system for $700 and it was no fuss, works out of box so it's worth it to me. I can't imagine you would come in much cheaper building from scratch if you wanted the mouse and keyboard and windows license.
This system is quality parts and super fast so far. I haven't found anything negative to say about it and hopefully it continues that way.
My friend Aida Kenyon tell us Extremely disappointed.
I purchased this product twice in one month. The first computer's video card didn't work from the get-go. I returned it and got another new one - same model. The audio on the second brand new one didn't work and their support team advised I return it. I'm done. I've wasted hours with tech support and 2 returns. I don't have time for this. Disappointing quality.
My Fellow lions2thebowl Talk CANT INSTALL UPDATES!! BLACK SCREEN OF DEATH AFTER 2 months.
I’ve had my pc for 2 months now. I bought a new mouse and keyboard to use, but sadly when I plug any usb device into my pc, it says drivers can’t be found. I also can’t download updates for windows for some reason. Contacted support and was told to download the chipset driver from their website. So I did, and as soon as it downloaded I’ve been stuck at a black screen. That’s been 3 days now. Their support has been very reluctant to do anything for me. Save urself time and hassle, don’t buy a PC with AMD graphics cards. I believe this is the problem.
