Charger Adapter Ailkin Replacement Samsung
My friend Ron Wilson Talk DO NOT BUY - Design flaws - PRONGS TOO SMALL AND ONE SIDE DIES.
I rarely write reviews, and I really don't like to write negative reviews. I especially don't like reviews here on Amazon that are effusively positive for a product when the buyer just bought it and hasn't had to live with it for a while. This product is flawed. I have tried to live with it for two months, but it has a problem that you will regret. The prongs that plug into an electrical outlet or a power strip or an extension cord are quite simply too small. They may only be a fraction of an inch too small, but that's enough to ruin this product. That's right, they aren't as big as they need to be. Why is this important? It's important, because the adapter will not stay plugged in. I am constantly seeing it fall out on its own or if the cord attached to it is jostled in even the slightest manner. There is nothing like trusting a product to help charge your electronic devices only to find out that on it's own it came unplugged. I have seen it with my own eyes several times. The prongs are not large enough, so for many uses, you better be prepared to come in and find this thing unplugged and your electronic device inconveniently not charged. Like I said, for as little as this cost it didn't seem worth it for me to write a negative review, but potential buyers and the manufacturer need to know. This needs to be redesigned. Buy something different.
Oh, and almost immediately only one side worked.
Stop reading and trusting reviews from people who only just got the product. Search out reviews from people who have tried to live with the product for awhile
My Old Man azwinediva say Beware. SEE PHOTO. ITEM SMOKED AND BLEW A FUSE.
We just got these. We plugged it into the wall without even adding a USB yet and it immediately sparked causing smoke and blew out a circuit.
I only gave one star, only because of fast shipping.
AMAZON IS SAYING THIS PRODUCT ISN'T AVAILABLE FOR RETURN
My Old Boy Beth say Not what expected :(.
I ordered two sets. One plug doesn’t work at all. All the the cords worked the first couple days then all of a sudden they don’t work and our phones say the device is not supported by them.
My friend Peter P. said Defective.
Defective, would not accept usb plug in
My friend L66 say Off brand.! Haven’t tried the other adapter to see if it is better. Could shock a young child.!.
Get very HOT!
My Old Man Chuck tell us Poor Value.
These might be the worst USB wall chargers I've ever owned and I have been using USB wall chargers since day1 (I'm old).
They are cheaply made and poorly engineered. In order to get a standard USB plug into them you have to wiggle the plug around until you force the correct alignment and the jam the plug in. I threw them out after a few attempts. I travel extensively and I can't use something that's not reliable.
My Old Boy GUS THE PHONE GUY Talk USE CAUTION The chargers I received are not as pictured ....
USE CAUTION
The chargers I received are not as pictured and standard USB cables will not fit in them. They had to be returned.
My Old Chap DB Talk One Star.
Sparked a flame when I put into the wall outlet.
My Old Fellow Pam A. said Doesn't stay plugged in.
I was really excited to get this and now I find it frustrating to use so I've just put it aside.... works fine as long as its plugged in, but I was using it in a powerstrip and when I grabbed my cords to find the end so I could plug my phone or ipad in, it unplugs itself..... It could be because the prongs are the same size.. unlike most things that have one larger prong. Doesn't matter how gentle I was with the cords too... it simply just slides right out just as easy as it slides in.
My friend ChemSciGuy tell us Both work perfectly - and I checked the voltage and current delivered just to be sure.
Works perfectly and I tested it to confirm voltage was OK. I test all chargers since damaging equipment with a faulty charger in the past. Experience taught me that it is not good to assume all chargers meet the USB specification. I recently ordered some dual port chargers that were junk so I followed up with an order for a couple of different highly rated ones. The junk ones looked all the world like these from the outside. It was only superficial since they were way over voltage and would be a risk to equipment. Video is my testing of the Ailkin charger, which works perfectly. The USB spec is for 5V, no higher than 5.25V and no lower than 4.4V (for USB and USB2, USB 3 can be a bit lower). Problems I've encountered are with the chargers being over-voltage. Both Ailkin dual port chargers are well within the USB specification.
