After ordering at least three power adapters for my Dell Inspiron laptop that their description on Amazon claimed they worked with the computer but actually did not, this one actually works! I had bought one a month and a half ago that also worked and sadly after 6 weeks the computer would not recognize it so I'm hoping I have better luck with this one.
Buying these power adapters is a real crapshoot I wish Dell would manufacture their products here in the USA. These Chinese things do not last long at all. The original was only a couple years old. The next one lasted 6 weeks, I'm really hoping I get better service out of this one. UPDATE: My Dell laptop is once again displaying the message this adapter is not recognizable and the computer will experience performance issues. It's 8 weeks old. I really really wish I could find a good one that will last longer than a month or two.

So, I'm down here in tropical cyclone central. While none have crossed my path yet this year, I reminded myself to charge up all my portable electronics in case the electric goes kaput. That means my ol' Dell laptop and the older Acer mini-lap.

I've got the charger for the Acer sitting right next to it, but the Dell is...somewhere. Dadgum it! It's surely here, but I'll be darned if I can find it.

Off to Amazon. Bam! Here it is. Sure enough, it fits my Inspiron 15 5567 model dead perfect. Whee! Plus, I didn't even pay attention to the description past that, but it has an adapter to the adapter that would actually fit my Acer perfectly, too. Wotta deal!

Now, of course, I can only hope all those Windows updates finish before the next tropical storm brushes past! I give it even odds.

Anyhoo, at least for my laptops, this AC charger and adapter is a perfect replacement. Although, I expect to find the old adapter within minutes, now that I have a new one.

Misleading title and description. This charger is not compatible with the Inspiron 15 3000. My laptop cannot charge using it.

The cord itself comes in 3 pieces which is okay. The power section has a 2 pronged- "plug in" (instead of the usual 3 prongs) that is actually 49 inches long (measured with measuring tape). The the next section has the "power box", and you have to plug the electric cord into this section at end of the 49 inches, & then that extends another 74 inches to a very small box which is only about 5" away from your laptop. So a circular plug goes into a small box at the end of this 74" & this small box is 1&1/4" by 3/4" small, then a tiny circular cord goes into this little box which has a cord that is 5" long that finally connects into your laptop. I have a Dell Inspiron 15R. The only thing that I noticed is that sometimes these 3 separate connections "come apart" when you don't expect it. And the last 5" cord that goes into your laptop seems a bit "loose" and doesn't fit tight. So I'd say about 70% of the time, I think my laptop is charging, and it is NOT. That cord that fits into the laptop itself is just too loose. I was thinking of buying some electrical black tape to tape it into there better. good idea or no? I'll ask the sales clerk. Otherwise, it does work, but the original Dell cord that came with the computer worked 100% of the the time. Just have to keep an eye on all 3 connections that they are together as they do slip apart easily, and I end up with little or no charge. My computer will print a message on my screen that it does not recognize that there is a battery adapter on it charging it, when actually there is. I just wish it would all stay together, and fit a bit more tightly into the laptop itself. Length of cord is good. For travelling, in my case, it would probably fall apart frequently. I just had it on an airplane in June, but did not use it, as it got stuffed into the overhead bin, and I could not get it out (my laptop). Shipping was overnight. I tried to contact seller using website but was unsuccessful. Could not connect. I don't know why.

I ordered this for my friend because she had gotten the wrong plug from Best Buy with their recommendation. They told her it was correct. But it wasn't charging her PC battery at all. Nor did it push into her PC all the way.

THIS ONE fit perfectly and immediately start to charge her Dell PC. I thought she was going to cry. She was always worried about it being a fire hazard. Now she can enjoy her laptop with less worries. It was great to see it working and making progress right away. The item was delivered quickly too!

I have purchased 3 plugs and chargers for my dell computer at $100 each. This charger and cord works great, it charges my computer quick and the cord is long enough for me. For the small price I will but it again if needed. I really think dell should fix the cord issue they have with their laptops. But if your in need but this charger you won't be disappointed, it's better than any of the ones I've purchased from dell at $100 each.

Finally an adapter that works with my one year old Dell laptop. I wanted a backup power supply cord for traveling and I had ordered a different one, but had to return it as it would not connect completely. The original one from Dell had a price tag of $50 on it and they were out of stock from the Dell web site (hard to believe). I was getting worried that only the original connector would work but this one works just a good the the original. I love it. Thanks.

Works great for my Dell Inspiron 13. Charges pretty quick. Cord length is about what you'd expect for a standard laptop charger. Only rated four stars because one time I left it plugged in overnight and my laptop was extremely hot when I opened it the next day. This only happened one time and might have been my laptop and not the charger but for the sake of the review, I figured I should mention it.
